About Jenny and Her Approach
I’m Jenny, founder of Core Pilates Oban.
My work is centred around helping people better understand their bodies, move with more confidence and build strong foundations for long-term health.
Using a clinical, assessment-led approach, I look at how your body moves, where you may be compensating and what may be contributing to pain, weakness or reduced confidence.
Whether you are recovering from injury, returning to exercise, managing pelvic floor concerns or simply feeling that your body is not functioning as well as it used to, my aim is to provide clear, practical and personalised support.
Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all approach, every session is tailored to you and designed to help you move better, feel stronger and return to the things you enjoy with more ease.

Who am I when I’m not working?
I’m incredibly lucky to genuinely love what I do. It has never really felt like work to me - a bit cliché, I know!
Alongside Core Pilates Oban I have worked within the NHS Physiotherapy Department for 16 years, that continued clinical experience has heavily shaped the way I approach movement, rehabilitation and dysfunction.
Outside of work, I’m happiest outdoors by the sea, on the sea, kayaking, hill walking, Munro Bagging or exploring the beautiful west coast. I’m also a mum to two grown-up children, which has taught me a lot about balance and the importance of looking after yourself too. I have completed the Three Peaks Challenge, and plan to do it again sometime!
I love to travel and most favourite place yet is Greece. It really does pull me back every year. I love everything about it from the food to the scenic drives and smashing plates (joking)!
I’ve never believed that exercise needs to be extreme to be effective. Movement should feel supportive, enjoyable and sustainable.
Running my classes and clinic means a huge amount to me, I genuinely love the community that we have grown together.
